NEPC Export Licence - Who Needs It and How to Register
If you're exporting anything out of Nigeria - from shea butter to software services - NEPC registration is not optional. Here's the clean path.

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) is the regulator for legal exports. Without an NEPC certificate you cannot access Form NXP, cannot repatriate export proceeds through the CBN window and cannot claim EEG incentives.
Who must register
- Any Nigerian company exporting physical goods
- Service exporters (tech, consulting, creative) claiming forex proceeds as exports
- Cooperatives and NGOs shipping goods abroad
What you'll need
- CAC LTD certificate + MEMART (Business Names cannot register)
- TIN and corporate bank account
- Board resolution to export
- Products classified under NEPC's export product list
